Tigre, Argentina travel tips

Real traveler tips for Tigre in Argentina: hostels, food, transport, hikes, activities, hidden gems, night life, social life and costs — shared by travelers who have actually been there.

Transport in Tigre

martins92: Does anyone know if the colectivo boats run less frequently on weekdays? I'm trying to plan a day trip from BA but don't want to get stuck waiting hours at the station.

Food in Tigre

lucas__: The snacks at Puerto de Frutos are way overpriced now. Better to walk a few blocks away from the market if you want a decent empanada.

Activities in Tigre

claire_t: Kayaking through the smaller canals is the only way to actually see the delta properly. The big tour boats just stay on the wide brown rivers and you miss all the cool stilt houses.
