Niagara Falls, Canada travel tips
Real traveler tips for Niagara Falls in Canada: hostels, food, transport, hikes, activities, hidden gems, night life, social life and costs — shared by travelers who have actually been there.
Hikes in Niagara Falls
- marcl: The walk along the Niagara Glen is so much better than just looking at the falls from the sidewalk. It gets you right down near the whirlpool and the rocks are cool. Definitely bring proper shoes though because it gets slippery.
Costs in Niagara Falls
- sarahk88: Is there any way to avoid the tourist tax? I noticed a 3% or 10% fee on almost every dinner bill downtown.
Activities in Niagara Falls
- ryan_j: Journey Behind the Falls was pretty underwhelming imo. You basically just stand in a wet tunnel and see white mist. The boat tour is way more worth the money if you have to pick one.
Food in Niagara Falls
- jessicav: Any good spots to eat that aren't chains like Applebee's or IHOP? Looking for something more local within walking distance of the falls.
Transport in Niagara Falls
- mikes92: The WEGO bus system is actually decent if you aren't driving.
