Activities in Palace of Versailles
- claire_88: Is it actually worth paying extra for the Trianon and Marie Antoinette's estate? I'm worried it's too much walking for one day.
Transport in Palace of Versailles
- marcv: The RER C line is pretty easy to navigate from central Paris, just make sure you buy the specific ticket for Versailles-Château-Rive-Gauche. The standard metro t+ tickets don't work for this zone.
Costs in Palace of Versailles
- lucas__: The gardens are free on certain days during the low season, saved me a few euros since I didn't care about seeing the hall of mirrors again.
Hidden gems in Palace of Versailles
- sarahj_92: If you go all the way to the back of the gardens near the canal, it's way quieter. Most tourists just stay near the main fountains and it gets so crowded.
Food in Palace of Versailles
- tommy_x: Does anyone know if you can bring a picnic to eat by the Grand Canal? The restaurants inside the gates are way too expensive for me.
