Activities in Similan Islands
- charlieb: Is the snorkeling actually better at island 7 or 9? I've heard conflicting things and we only have a limited amount of time on the day trip.
- kevinv: Are there any liveaboards still doing short 2-day trips or is everything 4 days plus now?
Costs in Similan Islands
- marcl: Honestly it is getting so expensive just to get out there. The national park fee plus the speedboat cost really adds up for just a few hours of swimming.
Hidden gems in Similan Islands
- jenny_x: If you can, try to get on a boat that leaves super early from Khao Lak. Seeing Sail Rock before the massive crowds arrive makes a huge difference.
Transport in Similan Islands
- tomv: The speedboat ride can be pretty rough if the wind picks up, just a heads up for anyone who gets seasick easily.
